All India Institute of Ayurveda, Delhi (AIIA) is a public Ayurveda medicine and research institution located in New Delhi, India. The Shalya tantra department of AIIA has a State of the art centre for Ayurveda Surgery. Sushrut Jayanti is celebrated every year on 15 July to commemorate the contributions of Acharya Sushrut (Father of surgery).

So, this year Shalyacon-2023 seminar is being organised for students and teachers of Shalya tantra by Department of Shalya tantra, AIIA in association with AAIM ( Bhartiya Sangyaharak Association, Varanasi) to celebrate Sushrut Jayanti from 13 July to 15 July 2023.

Theme of Seminar

• Basics of minimal access surgeries.
• Recent advancements in the management of ano+rectal disorders
• Advances in Wound care management.
• Basics of types of Anaesthesia & Pain management.

Areas of Exposure

• Live operative procedures demonstrations on 13 July & 14 July.
• laparoscopic surgeries like Cholecystectomy, Appendicectomy, Hernia repair etc.
• General surgeries like Hydrocele, Varicose vein stripping, Skin grafting etc.
• Ano-rectal surgeries like Haemerrhoidectomy, Fistulotomy, Sphincterotomy etc.
• Demonstration of different regional Anaesthesia.
